The Gites & Gardens
We offer two adjacent gites enabling us to cater for 8 people, great for those wishing to have a peaceful vacation with extended family or friends. Enjoy your holiday spending quality time together, sightseeing or simply relaxing by the local lake, followed by wonderfully sociable BBQ’s in the evening; then finally, kick off your shoes and retire to your own, personal space at the end of the day.
La Haute gite even considers small pets if you are wishing to travel with your furry companion.
Classified accommodations
We hope that our two super gites offer you something a little different, with all the comforts you would expect and hopefully a little more. Each is finished to a very high standard, and have been restored in a sympathetic caring fashion, retaining many of the original features but with a contemporary twist. Your beds will be made with crisply ironed linens and there will be fluffy towels provided for your use.

Outdoor space and eating:
- “La Vienne” has an adjacent semi-shaded, private side garden furnished with a gas plancha, table, chairs and parasol; plus an additional private rear patio, also with table and chairs.
- “La Haute” has a large covered deck with seating and table located at the top of the main garden; again furnished with a gas plancha.
Both gites have private front patio’s catching the early evening sun; and both have access to the large main garden; which is shared only between any other gite guests, and ourselves.
Indoor space and accommodation:
- La Vienne being slightly bigger, has a sofa bed so can accommodate up to 6 people. It is ideal for two couples wishing to share, families with grown up children; or with toddlers because of the adjacent garden.
- La Haute being only slightly smaller, it is perfect for couples or families with young children or teenagers ~ it is super cozy in the winter!
Both gites have electric radiators and log burners.
The main garden is laid mainly to lawn, with a selection of toys provided for our younger guests; there is also table-tennis, soft-archery, badminton and boules to be enjoyed by those of all ages! The garden has a couple of picnic tables with umbrellas, sun-loungers, chairs, a ‘retro’ swing chair and several benches so that you can catch the sun or shade as you choose.
Just take a cool drink, a book and simply while-away the hours in the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful part of rural France.

La Vienne
La Vienne, is a wonderful cottage over three floors; it is a 4 person gite with large spacious rooms for a cottage of this type. There are two good sized bedrooms, one double the other a twin; each with their own bathroom or shower rooms on the same floor, accessed off the hallway so you won’t disturb any resting souls. It has a front patio area, an adjoining private side garden, and a private rear patio area; as well as full access to the large main garden. It is fully fitted with all you could want for a comfortable stay.
La Haute
La Haute, is also a wonderful cottage over three floors, it is a 4 person gite. It has good sized rooms rooms on the ground and first floor; the top floor has a sloping ceiling with interesting feature beams. It is a super cute gite. There are two good sized bedrooms, one double the other a twin; each with their own bathroom or shower rooms on the same floor. It has a front patio area, and a private, covered eating area at the top of the main garden; as well as full access to the large main garden. It is also fully fitted with all you could want for a comfortable stay.

Arrival time is after 4pm. If you intend to arrive much later in the day and need a few basic provisions since the local shops close at 19h30; just let us know in advance so we can arrange this for you so that you can relax and put your feet up when you get here.
A car is essential if you want to discover the area; there is so much to see and do you will want to set off in each and every direction.
